Nickel-molybdenum-chromium · corrosion resistant
Hastelloy C276
Nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy with tungsten and very low carbon. The default choice for wet chlorine, hypochlorite, chlorinated organics and mixed acid service where 316L and 904L fail.

Behaviour
Why this grade
- Resists pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking in chloride media.
- Handles oxidising and reducing acids in the same process stream.
- Low carbon keeps the heat-affected zone corrosion resistant after welding.
Applications
Where it is used
- Wet chlorine, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide equipment
- Flue gas desulphurisation scrubbers and ducting
- Chemical reactors, heat exchangers and column internals
- Pharmaceutical and fine chemical process lines
- Pulp and paper bleaching plant
Supply
How we ship it
Cut to length, bundled, end-capped and marked with heat number, grade and size. Export packing to your forwarder's requirements.
- Plate, bar, tube and forged fittings from one heat where the sizes allow.
- Pickled and passivated finish, with PMI and UT available on request.
- EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2 documents, plus NACE MR0175 grades on request.
